Description

For thousands of years, humans dyed with the help of plants and other natural pigments. Since the industrial revolution, this has changed to synthetic (and polluting) dyes. We bring back the lost stories, smells, eatable ingredients and forgotten knowledge of natural shades with fantastic color results that benefit the body and soul. Our lovely natural dyes offer various concepts.
Are you a creative professional who wants to learn a new skill or deepen your excisting skills & knowledge ? Then this is the workshop for you!

During this workshop you will dye with 5 different plant based colors & learn about these.
This workshop will be about :
Madder, Indigo, Weld & Logwood & Mulberry

-Where do these plants grow ?
-How do these perform on different materials ?
-Learn about the benefits these botanical colors bring next to being a dye plant.
-Learn basic shibori patterns done with elastic bands.
-Create a product or 2

We will dye different small fabric samples, a bandana and a totebag or anything you would like to bring & upcycle ( up to 200 grams of fabric )( this can also be old denim ! ).

The workshop will happen when min. 3 people subscribe, if this is not the case you can choose a new date.
We will let you know one week before if the workshop will happen.
