The  Natural Indigo Masterclass, is a creative workshop exploring indigo as a natural dye, and it´s relation to denim.
Are you a creative professional who wants to learn a new skill or deepen your excisitng skills ? Then this is the workshop for you.
Playing with natural indigo will amaze workshop participants and leave them with a timeless product that will tell a story.

During the workshop, you will learn :
-It´s history & background information
-The basics of natural indigo, what is it made of, how does it work ?
-How does it perform on different techniques ?
-Basics of Japanese Shibori techniques.
-Create two final products.

What will you make ?
You will work on a bandana and an organic totebag with zipper if you wish to work on your own garments or fabric you can bring these with a max of 200 gr weight of fabric per person.
A T-shirt is also possible

Some subjects which will be talked about in the masterclass are :
Where does indigo come from? How does it behave, and why is denim blue?
Synthetic versus Natural Indigo.

About your teacher :
After working for Levi’s as a designer, Celia learned and developed a deep passion for the craft of Indigo Dyeing in Japan. Ongoing research and exploration of the blue, natural gold, made her a specialist in using this fascinating dye.
